Para encerrar o assunto, vamos aprender a dizer as horas da meia hora em diante.

Frases no mini-podcast de hoje:

Right now, it’s a quarter to three.


2:30 = two thirty (or) half past two


2:35 = two thirty-five
What time is it? It's 2:40 = It's two forty.
2:45 = It's two forty-five.
2:50 = two fifty


2:20 = two twenty (or) twenty after two


2:40 = It's twenty to three.
2:50 = ten to three
2:45 = a quarter to three


2:15 = two fifteen (or) a quarter after two


4:45 = a quarter to five
4:50 = ten to five


2:50 = ten of three (Northern U.S.) = ten to three
2:45 = a quarter of three (Northern U.S.) = a quarter to three
It's a quarter of. = It's a quarter to.
ten to; twenty to; etc.

It is one (minute) to noon.

Every  day  i wake up,  early , at five  forty -five(5:45)

I wake up a little later than that, at six.

This broadcasting made me remember a song that say: “It’s only half-past twelve but I don’t care. It’s five o’clock somewhere.” Do you know it?

I hadn’t; but I just checked it out. A country music song; right? The guys took a day off from work – because it’s five-o’clock somewhere in the world… 🙂
