Na mensagem de hoje, falei que meu tio-avô ligou para meu pai através do computado, usando Skype. Ele estava impressionado com a qualidade do som, e disse para meu pai…

– The sound is so clear!

Meu pai respondeu:https://domineingles.com.br/wp-admin/post.php?post=2958&action=edit

– I’ll say!

“I’ll say” é simplesmente uma expressão que mostra que você concordou com o que a pessoa disse.

A intonação é importante também, então assista ao video talk de hoje.

Hello, its Tim from Domineingles.com.br. Forgive my voice, I _____ _____ with a cold, so i’m a little hoarse and stuffed today?

Sometime ago I taught you the expression “I’ll say” I told you about when my uncle called on Skype and he was real exited about the sound quality of the call, and he told my dad, “hey it______ so clear!” and my dad answered “I’ll say”?

What does the expression”I’ll say” mean?

I told you that “I’ll say” means I ____ with you, I think the same thing. I also played for you a part of a CNN interview where a woman was living in a town where most of the homes were ________ by a tornado, but her house was saved!

And the reporter said, “you were ______”  – no, not the reporter; the women who’s house was saved said, “I was one of the ______ ones!” And the reporter answered, “I’ll say!”  Let’s listen to this part of the interview.

Women: Our house is right here.
Reporter: Right here.
Woman: See, we’re one of the _____ ones.
Reporter: I’ll say!
Woman: We just got… we just lost some part of the roof, and the screen room, and a broken window on the back, and one in the kitchen in here!

So yesterday I was ________ through the channels and I saw just one little section of a series – I imagine, I don’t even know what it is! And the girl used the expression “i’ll say”. [NOTA: Aqui o Tim se confundiu um pouco. A moça disse “Tell me about it”, não “I’ll say”; mas as duas expressões tem praticamente o mesmo significado.]SCRIPT WITH TRANSLATIONS AND EXPLANATIONS
