Tim, I love your podcasts. Just a question: How can I say disfarça em inglês no sentido de fingir que não está falando de um assunto?

Exemplo: dois colegas de trabalho estãoo falando mal do chefe e ele chega do nada. Em português a gente fala “Ih, disfarça” para mudar de assunto. Como seria isso em inglês?

Eu sei que disguise é disfarçar no sentido de se fantasiar ou passar por alguém. Seria pretend ou tem ou tem outra forma?

Thank you, Thiago! So glad you enjoy the tips. To say “disfarça”, in that sense, we usually say “act normal”. For example: “She’s looking our way. Try to act normal.”
