Você conhece o termo Minced Oaths em inglês? São "oaths" (xingos, maldições) que foram "minced". Obvio; não? 🙂

==> to mince (your) words = falar com descrição/delicadeza

Minced Oaths são muito comuns em inglês.

Por exemplo, no vídeo a seguir a maçã não aguenta mais ouvir a laranja irritante falar, e diz... "Pelo amor de ______, pare de falar por pelo menos 3 segundos! Não consigo nem ouvir os meus pensamentos."

Só que a maçã não usa este termo acima. Ele usa um minced oath - uma "maldição" que substitui a frase acima sem usar a palavra Deus.

1. May you have...! = Que você tenha...!

Note que o subjuntivo (em português) "tenha" fica na forma base em inglês. Para o subjuntivo (em inglês) usa-se a forma base (como no presente) ou "be" para o verbo "ser" ou "estar".   Por exemplo, se quero dizer:

Que Cristo seja real para você nesta época!
